Jack Cafferty: Only explaination for Obama losing? Racism...

Wed Sep 17, 2008 - Jack Cafferty is either desperate, or he has an acute case of "I'm an idiot". This from CNN's Cafferty:
Race is arguably the biggest issue in this election, and it's one that nobody's talking about.

The differences between Barack Obama and John McCain couldn't be more well-defined. Obama wants to change Washington. McCain is a part of Washington and a part of the Bush legacy. Yet the polls remain close. Doesn't make sense…unless it's race.
First off, Cafferty makes Keith Olbermann look like Edward R. Murrow when it comes to fairness in reporting. Second, Cafferty’s claim is a joke because he simply repeats an Obama talking point, “change in Washington”, and makes the conclusion that since people aren’t buying it hook line and sinker, race must be the deciding factor.

Does he want us to believe that the differences between Obama and McCain are as simple as he states? More importantly, does he believe that the differences between Obama and McCain are that simple, and that there are no alternative explanations as to why McCain and Obama are polling the way they are, like leadership, experience, or their vastly different records?

If Cafferty is to be believed, than the millions of McCain supporters have no beef with Obama besides the fact that he’s black. This is nothing more than a desperate partisan retreating into the Alamo of leftist politics, racism and identity.

Laughable!
