New McCain Ad: Jim Johnson By Rizzuto Fri Sep 19, 2008 - Here's the second McCain ad to go after Barack Obama for his connection to Fannie Mae. Jim Johnson was the head of Obama's VP search. Patterico is reporting that one of Time Magazine reporter Karen Tumulty is claiming that the original Franklin Raines ad McCain put out yesterday is racist, because both Raines and Obama are black. She argues that Johnson and Obama had a much more significant relationship and therefore would make a more compelling ad. McCain's choice to use Raines instead of Johnson, she contends, constitutes racism. Well Karen, ask and you shall receive.
