New Obama defense on Ayers: Um...I didn't know he was a terrorist By Rizzuto Mon Oct 06, 2008 - Really? For you would think such a smart guy would know that the person who is helping to jumpstart your political career was in part responsible for the murder of police officers. Is this new tactic supposed to make make Obama look like less of a fool, because I'm not sure it's going to have the intended effect. This is a new line of defense, and conflicts with a lot of what has been said by various advisors, including David Axelrod who said to the Politico, "They're certainly friendly, they know each other, as anyone whose kids go to school together." Guess he really wasn't the Bill Ayers he thought he knew. More on this over at Red State who says that media coverage of Bill Ayers was too extensive to believe Obama did not know who Ayers was.
