Putin Warns US About Evils Of Socialism

In what's quite a surprising development, Russian Prime Minister and former President Vladimir Putin warned the West not bail out too many companies and to stop interfering in their economies.

"Interference of the State, the belief in the omnipotence of the State: that is a reaction to market failures," Mr Putin said in his keynote address at the opening of the four-day meeting. "There is a temptation to expand direct interference of state in economy. In the Soviet Union that became an absolute. We paid a very dear price for that."
I think these guys do this sometimes just because they enjoy embarrassing us.

But then again, these are some pertinent words; words that needed to be said.

At a time when half the nation is drunk off of hope & change and the other half is still confused, we need to really think again about what we are doing... We need to ask the hard questions about what role government should have in our lives.

Helping in terms of the economy is one thing, but this combined with the new assault on the 2nd Amendment and the Fairness Doctrine rearing its head again really is painting a bleak future: they are taking your guns away and they are regulating what programs you hear on the radio, and what is true about the radio? It has more programs that will criticize the Presidency.

When you combine that with a government that is busy breast feeding big businesses and pork barreling their bills, you get a situation that is ready for a meltdown.
