Obama votes 'present' on taxing health benefits

Tue Mar 17, 2009 - During the campaign Obama attacked John McCain, saying that McCain would tax existing health benefits provided by employers. Now, his tune has changed. This from Matthew Continetti in today's print edition of The New York Post:
So, the Times reports, while President Obama "will not propose changing the tax-free status of employee health benefits, neither will he oppose it if Congress does so."
So he's not supporting it, but he's not going to veto it. What leadership! What boldness!
