Dowd: Joe Wilson is racist By Rizzuto Sun Sep 13, 2009 - So Maureen Dowd is the latest voice to accuse a Conservative critics of President Obama of racism, claiming that Joe Wilson’s outburst at his address to congress convinced her that racial angst is the underlying motive among Obama critics. Yeah right, like she really needed to be convinced of that. Let’s face it, if we had pictures of Barack Obama snorting cocaine off a hooker’s ass while simultaneously murdering a newborn and kicking a puppy, the left would accuse us of being racist for merely pointing it out. If they’re not given outright racism, they’ll simply manufacture it. If they can’t manufacture it, they’ll infer that we’re engaging in it on an “unconscious level”. Disagree with the president’s healthcare reform? Racist! Call the president out on his lies? Racist! March on Washington DC against out of control spending? One and a half million racists! We to accept the fact that as critics of the president we will inevitably be accused of racism by the left. The 2012 GOP presidential nominee will be accused of racism. The VP nominee will be accused of racism. Media critics (the few that there are) will be accused of racism. The only thing that critics of the president should be ashamed of themselves for is if they have any reaction other than deep belly laughs when his water carriers level that charge anymore. Mr. Obama’s defenders have reached such a humorous stage of self parody at this point that if we take them seriously, it’s our own fault.
