Governor Eliot Spitzer Linked to Prostitution Ring Update

Mon Mar 10, 2008 - This couldn't get any better. Governor Whoremonger...I mean Spitzer scheduled to speak soon. This from The New York Times:
Gov. Eliot Spitzer has informed his most senior administration officials that he had been involved in a prostitution ring, an administration official said this morning.

Mr. Spitzer, who was huddled with his top aides inside his Fifth Avenue apartment early this afternoon, had hours earlier abruptly canceled his scheduled public events for the day. He scheduled an announcement for 2:15 after inquiries from the Times.
Word has it that Bill Clinton and Elliot are pretty good friends. How long until we find out that Bill was a customer?

Update: The good Governor has also been under investigation for appropriating tax dollars and state resources to snoop on his state Senate rival, Majority Leader Joe Bruno. The timing could all be a ploy to make his resignation seem like its a matter of a personal nature rather than a matter of corruption, similar to what happened with governor Jim McGreevy. Watch for an indictment to be handed down soon in Eliot Spitzers Dirty Tricks Scandal. This recent revelation is to spare the NY Democratic party the embarrassment of The Governor stepping down because of corruption.

Like he'd know that prostitution is illegal, it's not like he's the former State Attorney General of New York. It's just a case of a prostitute being done in by an honest working girl.
