Video: Obama Evades Wright Question on The View By Rizzuto Mon Mar 31, 2008 - This is from Obama's March 28th appearance on The View. When Barbara Walters question him on the disconnect between his statement on racial statements made by Don Imus, he completely evades the question countering it with his stock "Reverend Wright has retired" answer, suggesting that a 20 year relationship between the two of them is now irrelevant because Wright retired several months ago. In addition, when Walters continues to press him, he dishonestly says that he would have left the church had Wright not retired... having had an awakening only after Wright's more controversial statements became a matter of public record. Obama is playing us for fools. While I give credit to Walters for pressing him on the issue, most of the rest of the interview was a nauseating love fest heaped on the Left's New Jesus.
