Tahiri: Basra 'Rising' Was Iranian Operation By Rizzuto Thu Apr 10, 2008 - What was really going on in Basra last month? Amir Tahiri has what I consider to be the best analysis of the true nature of last months conflict. From the New York Post: Iran's state-run media have de facto confirmed that this was no spontaneous "uprising." Rather, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) tried to seize control of Iraq's second-largest city using local Shiite militias as a Trojan horse.A failed Iranian op meant to spread further unrest and seperatism throughout the Shi'ite dominated portions of Iraq? Yeah...we're not in a proxy war with Iran. Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain. I blockquoted, but I urge you to read Tahiri's whole piece.

Iran is and has always been the most destabilizing force in the region. Do we need another war? no. Can we afford not to have one? I believe the answer is no to. We wait to long and we will be looking down the nuclear barrel. Fight now conventionally or later nuclear. either way it's going to be a fight, the amount of destruction is the only unknown. We all know the true goal of Islam, (if there are any doubts just read the Koran) which is the global takeover by Islam and the enslavement of the populations of the world to this barbaric "religion" We fight it or our kids fight it. |
