Obama...kind of happy we're paying more at the pump By Rizzuto Thu Jun 12, 2008 - Seriously... At a Town Hall meeting in Wisconsin, Obama agreed with a supporter who said, "I’m kind of happy that gas prices are going up in one sense. It will force us to think about changing the culture to create more emphasis on mass transportation from the local on up to the federal level. Obama responded, "Good. Well look, we are the only major industrialized country that has such a raggedy transportation system – mass transportation system. I mean, anybody who travels to Europe or Japan, or even these days, China, you’ll see high speed rail. You’ll see wonderful mass transit.." Obama...pay more at the pump, be more like China...change we can believe in.
